Things to Do in Cabo
Cabo San Lucas is the jewel of Baja California and slowly, but steadily, becoming a high end destination in Mexico. There are plenty of options for day trips but you can also spend your time in Cabo.
Take a romantic walk along the marina boardwalk
It’s the best opportunity to propose, or just enjoy your time together. Another romantic idea is to enjoy a sunset cruise , complete with meals and views.
Visit the Cabo San Lucas Glass Factory
Cabo is home to the only glass factory on the Baja peninsula. It employs over 30 artisans who produce unique pieces daily. You can purchase plates, bowls and figurines from the shop located on site. The factory can be visited on your own or with an organized group.
Soak up the sun
Cabo is mostly known for its pristine beaches. In Cabo San Lucas, Medano Beach is the main swimming beach and also the most popular among tourists and locals. Divorce Beach is lovely for soaking up the sun but it’s dangerous swim here. Chileno Bay, on the Tourist Corridor, is know for the diving and snorkeling , while Twin Dolphin Beach is excellent if you plan a romantic picnic.

Relax in Todos Santos
When you are tired of the swimming, snorkeling and other resort-like activities, make sure to head north to Todos Santos. It is home to Hotel California (yes, the one from the song) and it has a sleepy feel , just perfect for relaxing.
Dance the night away
Each season, the clubs and discos go from best place in Cabo to almost forgotten. Whichever is the hottest club in the city is not hard to find: just ask at the hotel or ask fellow travelers. Then, plan for a night out dancing.
Day trip to La Paz, the state’s capital
This day trip will definitely take you back in time. Explore the Cathedral and the main plaza. Make sure to shop for authentic Mexican handicrafts. It’s possible to do this day trip when you visit Todos Santos, as the road to La Paz passes through Todos Santos.
See the gray whales
From October to March, the migration of gray whales occurs , which means you can see these lovely creatures in the shallow waters around Baja California. Whale watching tours are available from many companies, but you might be able to see a whale just by scanning the horizon.
Surf
Surfing is a popular activity in Baja California and Zippers , on the Cabo Corridor, is one of the best spots to enjoy this sport.

Dive at Cabo Pulmo
Cabo Pulmo is the only living coral reef in Western North America and is home to the best scuba diving spots in the Cabo San Lucas area.

Horseback riding on the beach
A lovely way to explore the nature around Cabo is by horse. It’s possible to do this as part of a tour (2 hour tours start at US$49 per adult).
Relax in Style: Golfing
Cabo is home to some excellent golf courses. The natural beauty of the area combined with the fantastic weather makes Cabo a lovely destination for those who want to play golf. Make sure to book in advance.
Day trip to Baja Waterfalls and La Zorra Canyon
You can hike the canyons of Sierra La Laguna or maybe swim in the waterfalls or the rivers.
