Make sure to have appropriate clothing and shoes for the rain. And remember to sweater or jacket for the evenings when the weather gets colder.

Things to do

Your best bet is to plan all outdoor activities before noon and schedule the museum visits by the time the rain starts (so in the afternoon). You can check out the Chapultepec Park and visit the zoo and botanical gardens by noon and then plan to tour the castle.

You can also visit the historic sites located around Plaza de la Constitucion. You can easily go into the cathedral or one the museums when the rain starts.

Tired from all the walking? Then try the Mexican foods in one of the restaurants . You’ll be surprised to realize that it tastes totally different than the Tex-Mex cuisine Americans are used to. At night, you can check out the clubs and bars.

Arriving in Mexico City in July

The easiest way to get to Mexico City is by plane. There are flights offered by numerous American carriers, as well as international ones. You don’t need to worry much about booking your flight in advance because it’s not a busy season, but you might be able to save some money especially if you decide to fly during the week.
