British Embassy in Mexico City

The British Embassy in Mexico City is meant to offer help for the UK nationals living in Mexico and for those traveling to Mexico.

Help can be offered in the following instances:

  • lost or stolen passport
  • if a UK citizen is victim of a crime (assault, rape)
  • if a UK citizen is seriously ill or suffered an accident
  • if a UK citizen has a mental illness and needs assistance
  • if a UK citizen needs a lawyer or a doctor
  • in case a UK citizen dies abroad
  • in case a UK citizen is arrested (but they cannot get you out of the prison)
  • in case a UK citizen is missing or has been abducted
  • in case of civil unrest or natural disaster, if a UK citizen needs assistance to go back home
  • in case you need to contact the family back home
