Best Restaurants in Monterrey

When visiting Monterrey you have the opportunity to choose from a variety of restaurants which serve cuisines from all over the world. If your taste buds are craving Mexican food then make sure to go to one of the restaurants located away from the touristy places, such as Muelle 17 (see details below). The area is also very popular for barbequed meats and goat is at its best whether you go to Mexican places or restaurants which serve Argentinean cuisine. There are also many restaurants servings Italian food. Vegetarians can have a bit of a hard time finding places to eat, although with a bit of planning they can find side-dishes which cater for their needs as well.

El Rey del Cabrito

It’s a renowned restaurant for those who like to eat roasted goat. The rest of the menu is incredible as well especially if you are a meat lover. It’s located in downtown but the interior is a bit tacky, with stuffed animals and such. Clearly not for vegetarians.

Another restaurant which specializes in goat but it’s one of those places where you are bound to run into a celebrity or politician. The menu also contains staple Mexican dishes and a variety of grilled meats. Vegetarians can find side items to their taste, such as beans and rice. There’s a playground for children and a Mariachi band entertaining the guests. It is, without a doubt, lovely place to visit and even organize a special event here.
