Best Luxury Hotels in Acapulco

Acapulco used to be Mexico’s most popular destination until the end of the 1980s and although now it’s eclipsed by Cancun , it’s still a popular place to spend a vacation especially if you like to hang out in luxury resorts.

During fall many resorts offer great discounts so everyone can enjoy the experience of a luxury stay. They generally offer free days (3rd or 4th night free) or special packages such as honeymoon, romance or wedding package. Also, there are special family plans based on which children under 12 can stay for free in the room with their parents.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the best luxury resorts in Acapulco.

Las Brisas

The luxury resort has been completely renovated in 2007 and offers 28 luxurious suites and 251 charming Casitas (bungalows) with incredible views of Acapulco. The resort offers a pool and a charming private beach club, as well as a spa. Voted in 2007 as the best resort for a romance vacation in Mexico, Las Brisas is an incredible place for a special getaway or for organizing your wedding.

During fall , there are several special offers available (2 for each room), such as daily free breakfast, 3rd night free, US$20 food and beverage credit, upgrade category room, romance package, etc. The honeymoon package (romance) costs US$340 per night for 2 persons in a Private pool casita and includes welcome cocktail, breakfast & dinner, champagne and other romantic surprises. The price excludes the taxes.

During the high season, several special offers are also available, such as breakfast included, 4th night free, upgrade to private pool, room upgrade, spa package, US$20 food and beverage credit or the Magic loving breeze package. If you choose the Mexico Holiday Breeze 4th night free package expect to pay US$299 per night per room, excluding taxes, in a Private Pool Casita.

Camino Real Acapulco Diamante

Overlooking the bay of Puerto Marqués, this great resort offers 156 luxury rooms with great views. The resort offers 3 great swimming pools and two restaurants. There’s net in the rooms and in the lobby. If you plan to take the kids on a vacation, you can choose the family plan and the kids under 12 can stay for free with their parents.

In the fall if you choose the super save rate (that’s room only) you will pay US$270 per room per night (2 persons). The best available rate is US$150. Both are rates for deluxe rooms. All taxes are included in the price.

During the high season, the rates are US$165 per night per room in a deluxe ocean view room (the corporate rate, since the rack rate is higher at US$250 per night).

Quinta Real Acapulco

The luxury hotel is located just 15 min from Acapulco’s Golden Zone and offers suites for its guests. All suites have AC, minibar, TV , bath and phone. The hotel also offers swimming pools, spa, fitness center, restaurants and a bar.

A garden class suite costs US$218.18 per night and offers superb views. There’s a Jacuzzi, two bedroom beds, balcony, phone and dial-up internet. During the same period the master suite costs US$200 per night. The hotel books up really quickly so make sure to book way in advance if you want to stay here during the high season.
